Nearing the end of the summer break and after the long Labor Day holiday weekend, only a couple of local governing boards will meet this week. Both the county commissioners and the Carrboro Board of Alderpersons will hold work sessions. Here's the full rundown:
CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS
- Work Session: Tuesday, September 8, 7:30 pm, Carrboro Town Hall
- The Board will consider scheduling a public hearing on a town code amendment on snow and ice removal.
- The Board will discuss changes to the way residents are appointed to advisory boards, commissions, and other bodies.
- The Board will discuss proposed changes to the county's draft unified animal control ordinance.
- The Board will discuss a potential new zoning category intended initially for properties in the town's North Transition Area.
- The Board will receive an update on the status of Airbnb properties in the town.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- Work Session: Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 7:00 pm, Southern Human Services Center
- The Board will continue its discussion of the 2016 bond referendum.
CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL
- The Town Council will hold its next meeting on September 16th.
CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION
- The Board will hold its next meeting, a work session, on September 17th.
HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- The Town Board will hold its next meeting on September 14th.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
- The Board will hold its next meeting on September 14th.
