Both of our school boards meet this week, as does the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners, which will swear in new board members on Monday evening.
CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS
- The Board does not meet again until January 12.
CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL
- The Council does not meet again until January 6th.
CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION
- Business Meeting: December 17, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Lincoln Center
- The Superintendent will provide the Board with an overview of the Equity Long Range Plan Focused Dialogue
HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- Business Meeting: December 14, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Whitted Human Services Building
- The Board of Commissioners will recognize Eric Hallman for his service as a Town Commissioner. Mayor Tom Stevens, Commissioner Evelyn Lloyd, Commissioner Brian Lowen, and Commissioner-Elect Mark Bell will take their oaths of office.
- The Board will receive a proposal from the Development Finance Initiative to assist the town with redevelopment of the former Colonial Inn if the town acquires the property.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- Business Meeting: December 15, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Southern Human Services.
- The Board will consider receiving comments from the public on housing and non-housing needs to be included in the Annual Action Plan Update of the 2016-2017 Consolidated Housing Plan for Housing and Community Development Programs in Orange County.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
- Business Meeting: December 14, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Central Office
- The Board will discuss support for high needs schools.
