Though it's a short week for the holiday this week, three of Orange County's elected boards will be meeting. Both the Chapel Hill Town Council and the county commissioners will discuss several land use ordinance amendments, and the Carrboro alderfolks will receive updates on policing and the Lloyd property development.
CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS
- Business Meeting: November 24th, 2015, at 7:30 pm, Carrboro Town Hall
- The Board will hold a public hearing on amendments to the town's snow and ice removal ordinance.
- The Board will receive updates on the Lloyd property mediation sessions, the CVS properties, and policing issues.
CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL
- Business Meeting: November 23rd, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Chapel Hill Town Hall
- The Town Council will consider several special use permits and amendments to the Land Use Management Ordinance.
- The Town Council will ask for public comment on community development block grant applications.
CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION
- There is no meeting this week. The next meeting will be a business meeting on December 3rd.
HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- There is no meeting this week. The next meeting will be a monthly work session on November 30th.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- Qaurterly Public Hearing: Date 1, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Whitted Meeting Facility
- The Board will receive feedback from the public on amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance related to sexually oriented business and car sales and rental operations.
- The Board will hear about how new state legislation affects the county's regulations related to erosion control, storm water manager, and stream buffers.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
