This Week in Orange Politics: October 26-31, 2015

The Chapel Hill Town Council will take up changes to the Land Use Management Ordinance for the Ephesus-Fordham district. The Hillsborough Town Board will discuss affordable housing policy. The Orange County School Board meets this week, but the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board does not. Early voting continues through Halloween. Go vote!

CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS

• There is no meeting this week due to early voting. The board's next meeting is November 10th.

CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL

• Business Meeting: Monday, October 26, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Chapel Hill Town Hall
  • The Council will consider changes to the Land Use Management Ordinance related to the Ephesus-Fordham district.
  • The Council will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to the Land Use Management Ordinance related to accessory apartments, bed and breakfasts, signage, parking lot landscaping, water quality, and neighborhood character standards.
  • The Council will also discuss proposed changes to Grove Park's special use permit.

CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION

• There is no meeting this week. The next meeting is scheduled for November 5th.

HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

• Business Meeting: October 26, 2015, at 7:00 pm at the Town Barn
  • The commissioners will receive an update and discuss the Phase 3 Downtown Improvements
  • The commissioners will discuss an affrodable housing policy

ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

• There is no meeting this week. The next meeting is scheduled for November 6th.

ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

• Business Meeting: October 26, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Central Office Boardroom
  • The Board will review and approve that  School Improvement Plans.
  • The Board will receive on update on the 2016 Bond Referendum.
