The county commissioners, Chapel Hill Town Council and Carrboro alderfolks will all tackle their budgets for the upcoming fiscal year this week, and the later two groups will both be talking about the Durham-Orange light rail project as well.
Elsewhere in the county, the Hillsborough town commissioners will discuss parking and food trucks, while the county school board gets an update on the family success alliance and continues discussions on its facilities assesment.
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board is off this week.

CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS

Business Meeting: Tuesday, May 5th, 7:30 pm @ Carrboro Town Hall
- The Board will receive an overview of the Manager’s proposed Fiscal Year 2016 Budget
- The Board will receive an update on the Durham-Orange Light Rail Project
- The Board will hold a public hearing on the re-zoning of the Triem Lot
CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL

Business Meeting: Monday, May 11, 7 pm @ Chapel Hill Town Hall
- The Council will consider whether or not to appoint someone to the Council vacancy left by the resignation of Matt Czajkowski
- The Council will also discuss the proposed FY15-16 budget and open a public hearing on investment financing for capital projects
- The Council will receive the environmental impact statement on potential light rail from GoTriangle
- The Council will also consider a process for the Land Use Management Ordinance update and discuss the bike and pedestrian plan for the Ephesus-Fordham district
CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION
- There is no meeting this week. The next meeting is scheduled for May 21.
HILLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD

- The Board will continue to discuss the facilities assessment study it recently received
- The Board will hear about the Family Success Alliance grant that will be funding summer programs at New Hope Elementary School

- There will be an Obey Creek public information meeting this Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Chapel Hill Town Hall.
