cute but completely inaccurate, MCM. nice disguise but the dress doesn't fit any more than the false humor and half-told-tale.

The preceding post couldn't possibly be less enlightening. If somebody wants to say there's a story here, then it should be told outright or the poster should shut the hell up. I really value the opportunity to post anonymously in this forum, but I think the idea is to encourage open debate rather than innuendo.

Personally I always had trouble getting furious about the deck on Country Club, though I haven't seen plans for the chiller plant or for traffic "improvements" to Country Club Road (why, oh why do the local papers never run maps?).

On a tangent now: much of this thread seems connected somehow (by a thread?) to local media -- such as the above discussions of the value of campaign advertising and the objectivity of local media. We're unbelievably lucky to be (sort of) a two-newspaper town, not to mention local radio. I've seen very little critique of coverage in specific terms, however, except for snippets around this site. Do any insiders here want to indicate what they feel are general (or specific) areas that are covered especially well (or poorly)?

Okay, I'm off to ponder http://www.orangepolitics.org/archives/000085.html some more.
